To start things off we had gone over the questions on the Activity Sheet on Artificial Satellites and the Concept-Development practice page 14-1.

Here are the answers to the following:

Activity Sheet on Artificial Satellites

1) When the projectile is launched to a speed of 8km/sec

7) Yes, collisions with air particles slowly act to circularize the orbit and slows down the satellite. This causes it to drop to lower altitudes.
